Dolphin Robotic Cleaners are among the best cleaners in the industry, but like all robotic equipment things can go wrong causing your Dolphin to stop running. Check out our troubleshooting tips and you may be able to fix your dolphin pool cleaner without the need for an in-depth repair service.
The Power Supply Unit is Not Turning On
If your Dolphin’s power supply is not turning on, confirm that the GFI outlet has power by plugging in another device. If it has power, unplug the blue cable from the power supply and then try turning it on again. If it still doesn’t turn on there could be an issue with the blue cable or the Dolphin itself, contact EZ Pool & Spa Supply for further diagnostics. We are an authorized Maytronics dealer and repair center, so we can perform warranty in or out of warranty Dolphin cleaner repairs.
The Dolphin Moves But Can’t Climb the Walls
If the dolphin moves but can’t climb the walls, check for an obstruction, especially in the tracks and brushes. If there isn’t an obvious obstruction, allow the cleaning rings to absorb water (5-10 minutes) so they are soft and pliable, then try climbing again.
If the Dolphin moves but isn’t scrubbing the pool or cleaning properly, there could be an issue with the drive train or impeller. Check for an obstruction in the track and brushes, as well as in the drive train and impeller. If there are no issues found or the Dolphin moves and stops suddenly, there could be a problem with the blue cable or the robot itself.
