The Potion of Luck in Dark and Darker is used to increase your Luck stat. Once found, you can drink it from your Inventory like other Potions. However, carrying it will reduce your Move Speed by -20. The amount by which the potion increases your Luck stat depends on its rarity. It can increase your stat by 50, 100, or 150 points.

The Potion of Luck also stacks with Bard’s Wanderer’s Luck Perk, which increases the Luck stat to 100 points. With both the Perk and Potion, your Luck stat can reach up to 250 points.

Having a higher Luck stat affects the drop rates of different rarities of items. For example, with 50 Luck, the chance of obtaining junk loot increases by x0.95, while the chance of obtaining rare rarity loot increases by x1.48. The higher your Luck stat, the better the loot drop rates become.

To obtain the Potion of Luck in Dark and Darker, you can either buy it from the Fortune Teller or craft it yourself. The materials needed for crafting the potion include a Glowing Eyeball, obtained from Chests in the Corrupted Forest, Cursed Swamp, and Shadowlands; Nightshade, obtained from Poison Ivy Plants found in the Poison Ivy Forest, Swamplands, and Shadowlands; and Spider Silk, dropped by Spiders found in the Spider Cave, Abandoned Mine, and Poison Ivy Forest.
